HUNGARIAN HALLOWEEN

To learn how Hungarians celebrate Halloween go to any of Budapest cemeteries this weekend. Our recommendation is to Visit KEREPESI CEMETERY to see ancient wooden graves and candles burn brightly in the dark.

What to do on October 23?

This Wednesday is a bank holiday. We celebrate the  anniversary of the proclamation of the new constitution in 1989 and of the outbreak of the 1956 revolution. Officially very much "political day" but there may be some parades worth watching on the Heroes' Square (4pm) and outside House of Terror (3pm). Museums are free to enter.
