Long weekend to do list

AUGUST 20TH IS PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN HUNGARY.
We celebrate the foundation of our country 1013 years ago.
There will be lots of FREE ACTIVITIES in Budapest.
1. Traditional Arts&Crafts festival, food market, folk concerts, kids corner.
August 17-20
Venue: Castle Hill outside Royal Palace (Chain Bridge, Buda side)

2. ARTISTS DESIGNERS MARKET
Aug.18th 11am-7pm
Venue: Elisabeth square ( M1.M2 M3 "Deák tér'" stop)
FREE !
Cool handmade crafts, shoes, clothes accessories If you like stuffs by DIYers, don't miss it!!
Recommended time to spend: 1 hour
3. Stephen the king - ROCK OPERA (in Hungarian)
Aug. 19th - 7pm
Venue: Margaret Island (Northern part close to Arpad bridge)
Entry: FREE !
4. BOBBY LONG MOVIE (subtitles) with John Travolta
Aug. 19th - 9pm
Venue: Chain Bridge Pest side
Entry: FREE !
My recommendation: bring a blanket, beer & snacks.
5. FREE RIVER CRUISING
Aug. 20th - 10am-noon
Venue: Chain Bridge Pest side piers
Entry: FREE !
6. FAMILY ACTIVITIES, CONCERTS, HUNGARIAN B'DAY CAKE TASTING
Aug.20th - from 10am - 8:30pm
Venue: Chain Bridge Buda side
Entry : FREE !
B'day cake tasting ~ 3€
7. CEREMONIAL HOLY MASS & HOLY RIGHT PROCESSION
Aug. 20th - 5pm-7pm
Venue: St. Stephen Basilica
After the ceremonial holy mass, the Holy Right is accompanied by corps of the Hungarian Defense Forces and a procession from St Stephen’s Basilica.
8. CEREMONIAL FIREWORKS ON THE DANUBE BANKS
Aug.20th - 9pm (approx.45 minutes)
Venue - along the river Danube between Liberty bridge & Margaret Bridge.

Please note: 
August 20th - Thermal Baths and museums will all be open.  
No afternoon tours on August 20th!!
