Validate on board the ticket by inserting it on buses,trams and trolleybuses. Sometimes you have to place your ticket downward-facing, into the little device provided for that purpose, then pull the knob.
When using the metro, validate your ticket before you get to the platform even if they tell you it is enough to have it. Inspectors can be extremely rude and aggressive. Of course they speak only Hungarian. Always ask for the receipt if you were fined by the inspectors, otherwise your money is going to their pocket..
If this is the case, start recording the corrupt inspector on your camera and upload it on Youtube.
