BUDAPEST FREE FESTIVALS JUNE 3-5TH, 2011



1. The 82nd Festive Book Week and 10th Children's Book Days in Budapest.
Hundreds of local and 18 foreign publishing houses offering 375 new titles.
The central venue of the event will again be downtown Vörösmarty tér. This is the meeting point for 10.30 and 3.30pm Free Budapest Walking Tours.

2. FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL
Free Folk Festival. Gypsy, Bulgarian, Serb, Greek folk bands and dancers.
Venue: Elisabeth square (downtown Budapest, closest metro stop called "Deak ter")
2pm-4pm.

Free Jazz
8pm.

Free Silent Disco
11pm-4am
Venue: Liberty square (Parlament area) Closest metro stop called "Kossuth ter"
Locals dance to music listened to on wireless headphones via a FM-transmitter

Local tip: arrive early bring your ID as deposit for the headset. Bring your drinks to avoid the long queues.

3. FREE JEWISH CULTURAL FESTIVAL - JUDAFEST JUNE,5TH, 2011
This festival offers a taste of Jewish dishes, traditions and culture.
Venue:Kazinczy utca (Jewish Quarter, closest metro stop called "Opera"
10am-6pm
Great concerts, food sampling, kids corner, arts&crafts market and many more..
Join our Jewish Quarter Walking tour this Sunday 3.30pm and learn about the local Jewish Culture.
