FREE FESTIVALS THIS WEEKEND (3-4.Sept)

You can't be bored in Budapest even if you travel on shoe-string.
There are 3 FREE festivals going on this weekend with live music, food sampling and other cultural activities.


SEPTEMBER FEST - GASTRONOMIC & CULTURAL FESTIVAL
30 type of stews and 35 types of strudels to choose from. 5 stages with a wide variety of music too, mainly pop, rock and jazz. Special guest Billy Cobham.
In between concerts or tastings you may want to take a look at the American and Tuning Cars Meeting where you are sure to find real rarities among the several hundred cars - classic and more modern. Craftsmen will demonstrate their handcraft skills and the artwork market, Health Island and archery are just some of the numerous interesting things to see and do.

HEALTH ISLAND FEST- everything about healthy life (3rd Sept. 11am-10pm)
Stylist show, cooking classes, yoga classes, live music!
Venue: Liberty square
Closest metro stop is called KOSSUTH LAJOS TER (M2 red line)

BOOK FESTIVAL - free Hungarian folk dances and concerts (2-4. Sept)
Great Hungarian books, photo albums, guidebooks are presented. Excellent folk bands provide the music all weekend long.
Venue: Holy Trinity square (outside Matthias church)
